About Us
GREF Ex Servicemens Association (GESA) This is an Ex-Servicemen’s Association. It has been formed by Officers and Other ranks who retired from General Reserve Engineer Force, a para military organisation of Government of India. The membership is meant only to a) those who have worked in GREF for specified number of years or b) Who are Pensioners of GREF and c) their spouses. The GREF organisation is also commonly known as Border Roads Organisation.
Core Activities
- To obtain contineously details of Pensionary benefits from DGBR/ CDA ( Pensions) etc. and placing GESA on their Mailing Lists.
- To obtain details of Welfare schemes of Central and State Governments, Contacting Various defence establishments like State & District Solders / Sailors / Airmen Boards to ascertain schemes for Defence Ex-Servicemen and taking up case with Government for extending similar schemes ( as warranted) for GREF Ex-Servicemen.
- Examine Medical Scheme for Defence Ex-Servicemen and if found more beneficial than CGHS, to make efforts to make GREF Ex-Servicemen eligible for the same.
- To start a News Letter/Magazine to disseminate the above information with suitable subscription.
- To formulate Training schemes for serving and retired GREF personnel.

- To organize education & training of serving personnel, including through existing official systems.
- To do research in areas of Technology relevant to Border Roads Construction and Management .
- To look after welfare of Separated families of GREF personnel.
